Upcoming Events
Institute of Biblical Studies 2012, February 3
Kennedy Hall, 7:30pm- Dr. Steven Garber will be speaking on “Getting All A’s and Still Flunking Life” at this year’s Institute of Biblical Studies. IBS is an annual conference sponsored by Bethel Grove, Chesterton House, and New Life Presbyterian Church. It is comprised of a Friday night public lecture, three lectures on Saturday, and a final sermon on Sunday morning.
Light ’12, February 18
Biotech G10, 7:00pm- LIGHT is an annual night of praise, exhortation, prayer for the nations, and resources for summer mission trips. Our hope is that Christians in Ithaca and all over the world would know God’s heart for the nations and be encouraged to pray, send, and go.
Thursday EV, Every Thursday
Cascadeli, 6:00pm- Join other Christians on campus and reach out in love to the Cornell community by initiating conversations about faith and spirituality and sharing the Gospel in a structured team setting. We believe that, as Campus Crusade founder of Bill Bright often said, “successful evangelism is taking the initiative to share Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God.”
Interfellowship Prayer Meeting, Every Sunday
Willard Straight Hall International Room, 9:00pm- Come spend some time with your fellow brothers and sisters on campus from all different Christian fellowships in a time of prayer to the Lord.
College-Specific Prayer Meetings
The College-Specific Prayer Meetings (CSPMs) are prayer meetings within each college/school with the vision to unite its faculty and students so that they could pray for each other and for revival as one body in the college. These will be held either on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Through these CSPMs, we seek two things: 1) as we pray for each other, we’re able to see how God is working in our brothers and sisters on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, whether it be through suffering or through praises, and 2) as we pray for God to open the eyes and hearts of our fellow students and faculty, we’re able to share praises and prayer requests for certain students and faculty members.
